Nancy Hauge is a veteran of 5 IPO’s and 5 positive acquisition exits. Prior to joining HotChalk as the Chief People Officer, she served as the Vice President of Global Human resources for Silicon Image. Prior to Silicon Image, Nancy founded 2nd & Nun Street Group, an international consulting firm focused upon preparing companies for rapid growth. Clients included: Rosetta Stone, Motricity, Parature, Opera, Mixbook and Silicon Image. Before 2nd and Nun Street, Hauge served as the senior vice president of Human Resources for K12 Inc, as the company grew from $82million to $400million in revenue and successfully IPO’d.
Prior to K12, Hauge spent two years with Ruckus Network, a venture-backed, entertainment-based social media company, where she was the chief customer advocate and senior vice president of Human Resources.
For six years before joining Ruckus, Hauge was the senior partner at 54th Street Partners an international management consulting service she founded, with a specialty in start-ups. In her consulting capacity Hauge served as the interim vice president of Human Resources for FastForward Networks, Borland, Brocade and Placeware, additionally the firm provided a myriad of services, including venture investment, to over 60 start-ups. Through 54th Street Partners Hauge also provided strategic consulting services to multinational companies around the world, with assignments in Singapore, Valencia, Shanghai, Hong Kong, Dublin, Tokyo, Amsterdam and Kuala Lumpur.
Hauge was a founder and vice president of Human Resources for two storage technology start-ups, Ridge Technologies and Crag Technologies both exited through successful acquisitions.
Prior to Ridge, Hauge served as the founding vice president of People at Noah's New York Bagels, the vice president of Human Resources for Gymboree Corporation, and spent ten years in senior management positions in human resources, strategic planning and quality at Sun Microsystems.
Nancy Hauge currently sits on the board of advisors for Blackridge Technologies and Mode to Wear. She is a former member of the Board of Directors for Cesare Color and Magnus Health. She has served on the Board of Regents at Holy Names College and the Board of Advisors to the Cameron School of Business at UNCW.
A former stand up comedian, Hauge is also a sought after public speaker for her work in organizational dislocation, corporate courage, humor in the workplace, innovation and social consciousness in business. Her work has been recognized by graduate schools and profiled in national publications. She was a recipient of a 2014 “Stevie Award” and named one of Silicon Valley’s “100 Women of Influence” in 2015. She is the author of “Consulting Adult” a blog focusing on how the workplace is changing. A native of Chicago, Illinois, Nancy now lives in Wilmington, North Carolina and San Jose, California. She has been married to award winning composer, Kem Hauge for 41 years
